Enjoy a gentle, family-friendly hike through Arni Village’s Karnavas Park. Walk beneath towering trees, visit the historic Epameinondas Bridge, and cool off afterward at Vori Beach.
This circular trail in Arni Village, nestled within the natural park of Karnavas, is a gentle and refreshing route ideal for families, children, and casual walkers. We completed it with lots of kids, and the entire group loved the feeling of being deep in a natural wonderland—surrounded by tall trees, thick bushes, and the kind of shade that makes it perfect even in summer. The landscape here is so lush that at times it felt like we were walking through a jungle, a rare experience in the Cyclades. The path is mostly easy, with soft ascents and clear trails through the forest.
One of the highlights is the Epameinondas Bridge, a beautiful stone structure that stands quietly in the green, a perfect stop for photos and a little storytelling.
This route can also be combined with Andros Route No. 12 and No. 13, if you’re looking to extend your hike or connect with nearby trails.
Tip: After your hike in Arni, take the road down to Vori Beach for a magical swim where the river meets the sea. It’s a peaceful spot, often quiet, and the perfect cool-down after a forest walk—especially for kids who love mixing mountain and beach adventures.
